Common Questions About Our Care, Insurance, and Treatments
At Zoe Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine, we believe in transparency. Below are answers to the most common questions patients in Texas and Oklahoma ask about our psychiatric and sleep services.
General Practice & Scheduling
What conditions do you treat at your Allen and Oklahoma clinics?
We offer comprehensive care for the “whole person,” addressing mental health, addiction, and sleep issues simultaneously. We specialize in treating:
- Mood Disorders: Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Perinatal/Postpartum Depression.
- Anxiety: GAD, Panic Disorder, PTSD, and OCD.
- Neurodivergence: Adult and Adolescent ADHD.
- Sleep Disorders: Insomnia, Sleep Apnea, and Restless Legs Syndrome.
- Addiction: Opioid Use Disorder and Alcohol Dependence (MAT).
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We want quality mental health care to be accessible. We are in-network with most major insurance providers in Texas and Oklahoma, including:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
- Aetna
- Cigna / Evernorth
- UnitedHealthcare / Optum
- Medicare
- Baylor Scott & White Health Plan
- MultiPlan
- Please call us at (972) 521–6191 to verify your specific plan benefits.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Unlike many DFW psychiatry practices with months-long waitlists, we accept new patients within 5 days. Whether you need an urgent medication refill or a new evaluation, we prioritize getting you seen quickly.
Where are your offices located?
We have physical locations to serve the DFW metroplex and Oklahoma:
- Allen, TX (Headquarters): Serving Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and Richardson.
- Dallas, TX: Conveniently located on LBJ Freeway.
- Oklahoma City, OK: Serving the greater OKC metro area.
- We also offer Telehealth across the entire state of Texas and Oklahoma.
Telehealth & Online Psychiatry
Do you offer online/telepsychiatry appointments?
Yes. We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant Telehealth sessions. This is ideal for patients in rural Texas or Oklahoma, or busy professionals in Dallas who cannot take time off work to drive to a clinic. You can receive medication management and therapy from the comfort of your home.
Can I see Dr. Popoola if I live in Oklahoma?
Absolutely. Our providers are Double Board-Certified and fully licensed to treat patients in both Texas and Oklahoma. Whether you are in Tulsa, Norman, or OKC, we can serve you virtually or in person at our Oklahoma City location.
Sleep Medicine & Insomnia
Can sleep disorders like insomnia really be treated?
Yes. Chronic insomnia is a medical condition, not a willpower failure. With proper diagnosis and evidence-based treatment—ranging from medication management to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)—most sleep disorders can be effectively managed.
Do I need a sleep study to get treatment?
Not always, but if we suspect Sleep Apnea, a study is vital. We offer convenient Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) devices. You can take the device home, sleep in your own bed, and return it for our board-certified sleep specialist to analyze. This is much more comfortable and affordable than traditional in-lab studies.
Advanced Treatments (TMS & Spravato)
What is Spravato® (Esketamine) and do you offer it?
We are a certified Spravato® Treatment Center. Spravato is an FDA-approved prescription nasal spray, used alongside an antidepressant, for adults with Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD). It is administered in our office under medical supervision and can offer rapid relief for patients who haven’t responded to other medications.
Do you offer TMS Therapy near Plano or Allen?
Yes. We offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) at our Allen location. This is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate mood centers in the brain. It is highly effective for depression and anxiety and is covered by most insurance plans.
Addiction & Recovery (MAT)
Do you offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)?
Yes. We provide compassionate, confidential MAT for Opioid Use Disorder and alcohol dependence. We prescribe medications like Suboxone (Buprenorphine) which are FDA-approved to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
Is addiction treatment confidential?
Strictly. We understand the stigma surrounding addiction. Your treatment at Zoe Psychiatry is private, judgment-free, and protected by HIPAA regulations. Our goal is to help you recover your life, not to judge your past.
ADHD & Testing
Do you test for ADHD in adults?
Yes. Many adults in the DFW area go undiagnosed for years. We provide comprehensive ADHD evaluations that distinguish between true attention deficits and other issues like anxiety or sleep deprivation. We offer both stimulant and non-stimulant medication options depending on your needs.
