Evidence-Based Tools for Real Change.

Many people think therapy is just “venting” about your week. At Zoe Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine, our approach is different. We use clinical, evidence-based modalities to help you identify negative thought patterns, process past trauma, and build practical skills for resilience.

Whether you are navigating a difficult divorce, coping with grief, or battling chronic anxiety, our goal isn’t to keep you in therapy forever—it is to give you the tools you need to handle life on your own terms.

The “Gold Standard” of Mental Health Care

Research consistently shows that for many conditions, the most effective treatment is a combination of Psychotherapy + Medication Management.

Because we are a fully integrated medical practice, our therapists work side-by-side with Dr. Oluwole and Dr. Taiye Popoola.

  • Seamless Care: No need to sign release forms to get your therapist to talk to your doctor. They are on the same team.
  • Holistic View: We can adjust your therapy plan based on your medication progress, and vice-versa.

Expert Care

We specialize in:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): The leading treatment for anxiety and depression. Learn to spot “cognitive distortions” and replace them with reality.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Safe, paced processing for PTSD and abuse survivors.
  • Supportive Psychotherapy: compassionate guidance for grief, loss, and major life transitions.
  • Motivational Interviewing: Helping patients find the internal drive to overcome addiction or bad habits.

Support for Every Season of Life

We provide individual counseling for adults and adolescents (Ages 12+) facing:

Anxiety & Stress Management

Stop the racing thoughts. We teach grounding techniques and mindfulness strategies to halt panic attacks in their tracks.

Depression & Hopelessness

When you feel like you are moving through mud, therapy provides the ladder to climb out. We focus on behavioral activation to help you re-engage with joy.

Grief & Loss

Bereavement is not a disorder, but it can be debilitating. We provide a safe space to mourn and eventually find meaning after loss.

Life Transitions

Divorce, career changes, or adjusting to parenthood (Perinatal mental health) can be overwhelming. We help you navigate the “New Normal.”

Therapy from Your Couch

We understand that traffic on US-75 or a busy work schedule can make therapy feel like a chore.

  • Virtual Visits: 100% HIPAA-compliant video sessions available for patients across Texas and Oklahoma.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Fit a session in during your lunch break or from the comfort of your home.

Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy

Do you accept insurance for therapy? Yes. Just like our medical appointments, we accept most major insurance plans (BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UHC, Medicare) for psychotherapy sessions.

How long are the sessions? Standard individual therapy sessions are typically 45 to 53 minutes.

Can I see a therapist without taking medication? Absolutely. Many of our patients choose therapy as their only form of treatment. We will never pressure you to take medication if it isn’t medically necessary.
